New to AWP Safety?

Welcome to our team! As a newly eligible FT benefit eligible employee (working on average 30 hrs. or more per week), you are eligible to elect in the coverage that AWP Safety offers for you and your benefit eligible dependents.  Your new hire enrollment window to elect in benefit offerings as a new employee is 30 days from your date of hire.  If you do not elect any benefit coverages during your 30-day window as detailed during your onboarding paperwork, you must wait until the next annual open enrollment period to elect in coverage for yourself and your benefit eligible dependents.  See additional information found here.  Please login to UKG, navigate to Myself/Life Events/and select “I’m a new hire” to get started!  It’s that easy!

Changing Your Benefits — Qualifying Life Events

Following IRS regulations, you can make changes to your benefits that are consistent with your life or family status change within 30 days of the date the status change occurred.  If you miss the 30- day enrollment period, you must wait until the next annual Open Enrollment to make changes. The benefit change you submit in UKG must be consistent with your life or family status change. For example, if your spouse loses outside medical/prescription coverage, you may add your spouse to your medical/prescription plan, but you would not be able to drop vision coverage. Additionally, you may not change the benefit carrier or option (e.g., UHC PPO to UHC High Deductible Plan).

Supporting documentation to verify a benefit change is required. If you experience a life or family status change but do not yet have the required supporting documentation, please do not wait to submit the benefit change in UKG. You can submit the documentation in UKG within 30 days of making the change to your benefit elections. Benefit changes will not be finalized in UKG and sent to the insurance carriers until the supporting documentation is submitted and approved.

BENEFITS ELIGIBILITY

Covering Yourself

You may enroll in the benefits program if you are an ongoing full-time employee or a full-time equivalent employee (i.e., 1 year of continuous service and 1,560 worked hours).

Covering Your Family Members

Eligible dependents generally include your legally married spouse and children up to age 26. This includes natural and adopted children, step-children, and children for whom you are the court-appointed legal guardian. Some age limitations may apply to specific insurance programs.

Eligibility Documentation

Please be prepared to share dependent eligibility information during enrollment, including dates of birth and Social Security numbers. Other documentation may be required depending on your elections.
